Today I am attending a Microsoft seminar at a local theatre. It is nice to see the Microsoft folks using Pocket PCs at this event. Not too long ago you would go to these things and see Palms.

Gas For 18 Cents

Oklahoma gas station attendant make a data entry error, causing gas to be sold for 18 cents. Near riot ensues.

Eagles Make It To Superbowl

One half of the Pennsylvania Bowl appears to be complete, with Eagles scoring to go up 27-10. A little more than 3 minutes left.

Too Many Penalties

One of the things that has annoyed me all season is the NFL's emphasis on contact with wide receivers. What I see happening is teams not being rewarded for making plays, but by drawing calls on defensive backs. IMHO the NFL either needs to pull back on the calls or change the penalty because this is watering the game down.

Johnny Carson Passes Away

I am sorry to learn that Johnny Carson has passed away. There were many a time that I stayed up to watch the Tonight Show, and while Leno does a good job, it's not the same. Conan O'Brien will even be worse. Frankly, I think NBC blew it by not having Dave Letterman succeed Carson. What they did is create competition for their own show.

At Halftime It's Eagles 14 Falcons 10

So far it is a good game in frigid weather. Philadelphia appears to be in control, though Michael Vick is one of those guys that win a game all by himself. I'll never forget how he led the Falcons to a victory over my Packers in Green Bay a couple of years ago.
