Problems With Pocket SharpMT

There may be a memory problem with Pocket SharpMT. I've had instances when it doesn't load or just shut down.

An Update To Pocket SharpMT

Randy has posted a new version of Pocket SharpMT that fixes the problem of not being able use copy, cut, and paste. We'll sorta. It works in the entry body, but it doesn't work in Format, URL.

Over The Air Appointment

I just had my first personal experience receiving and processing an appointment on my Pocket PC in which the appointment synchronized to my Pocket PC over the air. Very Cool.

No Joy

I've uninstalled buttonMax from my IPAQ 6315 because I can't be in a situation where I cannot turn on my Pocket PC. I am bummed because I really like the functionality that buttonMax promises to provide. I've posted a message on their support forum, so maybe there will be a fix.

Pocket PC Macros

Yesterday I found a program called buttonMax that enables me to reprogram hardware buttons and create macros for hardware buttons. Today I have times when pressing the power button does not turn on my IPAQ 6315, so I am doing some troubleshooting to see if buttonMax is causing the problem.

Bluetooth and IPAQ 6315

I received my Logitech Mobile Freedom Bluetooth headset last week. So far I am liking it and the people who I have talked with so far have not noted any differences in sound quality. However, I have noticed that now that I am running two radios on the 6315 (Bluetooth and GPRS/GSM) it looks up more frequently. I've lamented the lock ups on this 6315 before, and I think the short observation is that it processor is too under-powered.

Dear Microsoft

Please fix ActiveSync. Like a lot of people I synchronize my Pocket PC at work where I use Outlook 2003 connected to an Exchange server. I receive a lot of meeting requests with invitees that are in the Global Address List and not in Outlook Contacts. The problem is, when I go home I synchronize and synchronize with my home PC the meeting requests do not sync because ActiveSync cannot resolve the email addresses. I would prefer ActiveSync to either just sync those meeting requests or give me an option to overlook them.

New Version of Pocket SharpMT

Randy has released a new version of Pocket SharpMT, which is what I use to enter items from my Pocket PC to this site. Unfortunately it still doesn't support the Windows clipboard.

Why does this thing keep turning on?

Why is it that my IPAQ H6315 keeps turning on? I've got just about all notifications off, but still the thing appears to randomly turn on. Thanks to this my phone has made several calls from my pocket.
